Some WTF Visualization Failures

In this sharing, I share 3 bizarre visualization failures phished in viz.wtf.

1. Weird Pie Chart in the Tea Cup

It is already meaningless to fill the tea cup with a pie chart if it is about mental health treatment. More interestingly, How come 65% makes a full ball? It is completely ruining the basic design principle of Edward Tufte, which is "Size of graphic effect should be directly proportional  to the numerical quantities". I hope the remaining 35% they did not suicide.

2. Tell me all in one!

Honestly, I really tried hard to understand what this graph wants to show. However, I got completely failed. Really, what do lonely 62% and 38% on male-female figures imply? I am afraid that it is prepared by a drug addict.

3. Unidentified Line Object (ULO)

This figure ruins the basic design principle of Edward Tufte: "Clear, detailed and through labeling and appropriate scales". Instead of making it clear, the lines and labels make it too complicated and cheap to read the data.
